On this year’s Les Journées du Patrimoine (European Heritage Days), Château Cramirat will open its gates for a rare and festive occasion, inviting you to explore the remarkable restoration work already completed while experiencing the vision guiding us forward.

Château Cramirat was the chief Templar commandery and home of the order’s grandmaster in Périgord 800 years ago. As an important medieval stronghold, it is a unique architectural gem that has survived through the ages, reflecting the passage of time and the hand of history in the region and worldwide.
In partnership with our long-time collaborators Fondation du Patrimoine and Ministère de la Culture, restoration continues at Château Cramirat using its original 12th-century designs as our blueprints.
Château Cramirat is led by the philosopher of science Anna Ravitzki and designer Dan Alexander, who are steadfast in their commitment to bring forward-thinking advancements in technology, art, and science from this special site, transforming it into a cultural center that will serve the community for the next 800 years to come.
