This week we opened new skylight windows on the slopes of half of Château Cramirat’s newly installed roof, now that the renovated old beams are back in place.
These small triangular openings are integrated into the structure of the roof frame and act as air vents, called “outeaux” in French, while also letting natural light in. Projecting outward at an angle, they are unique architectural elements that go back hundreds of years.
Château Cramirat, by philosopher Anna Ravitzki and designer Dan Alexander, is a 12th-century Templar gem, set to be the renewed location for forward-thinking advancements in technology, art, and science.
